Congratulations are in order for all the RONIN ATHLETICS competitors who braved the wilds of New Jersey to take part in the 2009 Grapplers Quest U.S. Nationals and Copa Atlantica this past Saturday and Sunday (06/27 & 6/28) in Morristown, NJ.
On Saturday, the U.S. National Championships were in full effect and four Ronin Athletics team members jumped right in the mix!
Saturday (no-gi) Results:

- 2nd Place, Beginner Welterweight.
- Liz Milizio
- 3rd Place, Women’s 114.9 lbs. and below
- Angelo Vicari
- 4th Place, Executive Lightweight
- Sidney Negron
- 1-and-1 in a very tough Lightweight division.
On Sunday, one Ronin Athletics competitor returned to NJ to don the gi and compete in the 2009 Copa Atlantica, and we’re all definitely glad she did!
Huge congrats to Liz Milizio on winning GOLD in her very tough Women’s 114.9 lbs. and below whitebelt division!
